FSP/QMP/HACCP & Food Safety
Fisherman’s Market International Inc. operates a CFIA federally registered plant.
FMII’s food safety program/quality management program is based on the principles of HACCP. By implementing a food safety program based on HACCP principles, FMII identifies where hazards may occur and implements actions to prevent those hazards from occurring. Our FSP/QMP program uses prerequisite programs, good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures to ensure we produce quality products safeguarding food safety standards. Our food safety program encompasses management commitment, sanitation, pest control, maintenance, employee training, product recalls and crisis management.
In addition, FMII is SQF certified. The SQF Program is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). SQF certification allows food safety and quality systems to be verified and validated, increasing consumer confidence and loyalty.
We take great pride in our food safety program and receive regular audits from CFIA, customer auditors and SQF.
